Scott at the Gravel Bar in Ennis asked me to create a poster for the fishing gear swap he hosted in conjunction with Trout Stalkers, the fishing outfitter next door to the bar. The event was a fundraiser for the Madison River Foundation.
I grew up nearby and know a whole lot of fishermen. It was fun to play with the different fishing symbols, and to poke a little fun at fishing guides, who my dad calls “rent-a-buddies”. So amongst the flies & rods & goofy waders, there are also the quintessential sunglasses and beard among the items to be “swapped”.
